 SPEECH-LESS or

Can Truth be Silenced?

on the 200-300 Gazan journalists murdered by the IDF

We are now entering a world
“where Everyone knows Everything - about Nothing…”
(Rudy Ratzsch – Carrickmines - 2 September, 2025)

SPEECH-LESS - Global Rights

1

Now, so we are told, Speaking

is soon to be cancelled.

The message arrives via missile or drone,

through wall or window or roof.

It wakes even the sleeping children

- soon to die.

This missile means you must stop talking.

This missile means your mouth must be permanently closed.

This missile means enormous profit for the arms companies

enormous loss for everyone else

This missile comes with a label ‘Made in the USA’.

This missile comes with a slogan ‘God Bless America’

This missile screams “Make America Great Again”

This missile is “the most moral missile in the world”, we are told.

This is the missile killed Anas Al-Sharif, (Al Jazeera correspondent) murdered Mohammed Qreiqeh, (Al Jazeera cameramen), murdered Ibrahim Zaher, murdered Mohammed Noufal and Moamen Aliwa  (“Al-Sharif's nephew, who was studying journalism”).

Still, no one in Gaza shut their innocent mouths…

Days later

this is also the missile killed journalist Mariam Abu Daqqa herself.

Mariam Abu Daqqa who wrote a few days before:

"Abu Anas... Your departure is indescribable pain,

as if a piece of my heart went with you.

You were my support, the voice that reassured me...

The hero has fallen, but he has not died in our hearts." (Contd.)
