Making Money from War

Global Rights - Human Rights

1

Listen:

We stand at the edge of a fucking Abyss. Its rabble-rousing smoke

silently sucking the oxygen from already crucified lungs. Like

lemmings, a hundred million motherless soldiers, our long-lost

brothers and sisters, (your own sons and daughters, comrades and

-neighbours), must soon step out into desolate space

…must soon fall fearlessly where there's no need for flags no more,

no need to fan the bloody fearful flames. Just Money. Only the crude

patriotism of profit, the precision strike of its grasping claws, its

exchange value in an endless use of “smart bombs” and “suicide drones”

…of “Explosive munitions, such as “bombs, grenades, torpedoes, mines, missiles and similar munitions of war and parts”…“cartridges”, some types of “ammunition and projectiles” and parts, including “shot and cartridge wads”… “bullets”, “Parts and accessories” (of military weapons, including components for “revolvers and pistols”, “Shotguns and rifles”, “Rocket launchers, flamethrowers, grenade launchers, torpedo tubes and similar projectors”, “Tank and other armoured fighting vehicle, motorised, whether or not fitted with weapons, and parts”

…all now lurking overhead, they loiter loveless and indecent in their

homicidal and hateful seduction, soon to descend swiftly with their

algorithms of arrogance and anger, of acquisition, asset and

annihilation… just more “business as usual”…

Welcome then …to the financialisation of fear and terror [Contd.]

UPDATE - The Gaza Strip (14, July, 2026)

Fatalities and injuries

  • Between 7 October 2023 and 12 July 2026, according to the Ministry of Health, as reported by the Health Cluster, 73,231 Palestinians were killed in the Gaza Strip and another 173,686 were injured. This includes 1,084 fatalities and 3,491 injuries between the announcement of a ceasefire agreement on 10 October 2025 and 8 July 2026.
  • UNRWA has recorded 392 colleagues killed in Gaza since the start of the war (310 UNRWA personnel and 82 persons who were supporting UNRWA),[2] up to 15 July.
  • The latest Protection Cluster snapshot revealed that communities continued to report persistent fear and insecurity due to ongoing shelling affecting displacement sites, residential areas, streets, and public spaces. The continued unpredictability has reinforced psychological distress, disrupted daily life, and contributed to a persistent sense of fear and uncertainty among affected populations.

Every Time the News from Gaza

“Let me take this moment to condemn again, from the bottom of my soul and my guts, the State of Israel. Damn you, State of Israel! Damn you terrorists and murderers…” (Hugo Chavez - 2009)

Global Rights - Human Rights

One

Every time the news from Gaza escapes, i shut down my sorrow with home-made and improvised munitions, manufactured from the merciless agony stored in this silenced world’s sick-sordid soul.

No factories needed. No friendly handshakes across continents colonial in their well-fed contempt. No bribes. No cynical “ceasefires” here! No fabricated and fictitious falsehoods from this scandalous and homicidal “axis of settler evil”. No butchery. Just this homemade-stuff,  sharper than the sigh of shrapnel to the spirit, conceived and born, likewise, in dangerous and deserted laneways and alleys of the imagination, amid the debris and the destroyed lives that will forever drift like ghosts all around us.

Every time the news from Gaza (or Beirut) takes flight, slips its “administrative-detention” like another calamity fleeing through forests of fear, (those forged in the furious forgetfulness of foolish politicians), i shut down my grief with plans to blow up the whole of this wretched-wicked world

with sad clowns’ balloons and the birthday parties of dead children who will laugh no longer but must today sit in judgment on this, our strange savage species and this cruelty we somehow call “humanity”.

Every time, yes, every single savage time. [Contd.]

Ogni volta che arrivano notizie da Gaza (Diritti Globali)

Soumaya Ghannoushi:

“Eid has just ended. Across much of the Muslim world, families gathered around tables, children wore new clothes, homes echoed with laughter. But in Gaza, Eid arrived carrying death. One image showed a mother named Hidaya taking her daughters shopping for Eid clothes. The girls went inside. She stayed outside. Moments later, an Israeli strike hit. The girls ran back outside in panic. Their mother was lying in the street, dead, covered in blood. Another clip lasted only a few seconds. A man stood among the ruins of a building destroyed by an Israeli air-strike. In his arms, he carried the body of a little girl. Her body was shattered, charred, soaked in blood. As he lifted her from the rubble, he screamed, "This is the first day of Eid." The third image showed tents burning in the darkness of an Eid night…Think about that for a moment.”

 Hiba Abu Nada

“My back—I do not claim you broke it—

yet something in you sought to break it.

My wings, once burdened with pain,

now fly freely

in the skies of might.”

Hiba Abu Nada – murdered by the Israeli Defense Forces - while at her home in Khan Younis in southern Gaza. She was 32 years old…

“…was a Palestinian novelist, poet, educator, and nutritionist from Gaza. Her novel Oxygen is Not for the Dead won the Sharjah Award for Arab Creativity in 2017. She held a BA in Biochemistry and an MA in Clinical Nutrition from the Islamic University.”

Hiba was killed alongside her son in October 2023 by the Israeli bombardments.” (ArabLitQuarterly “Letters From Gaza”)

Sergio Segio:

"There is no corner of the world—at least on the surface, though I believe much escapes our eyes, filled with horror and pain—where wars, massacres, and fascism—old and new, aseptic and technological—are not advancing. Now they have even poisoned Belfast with their fetid racist breath, tainting the memory and past struggles for freedom.

Let us resist the filth and transform it into new anger against them, against the system that produces them, and new love for the oppressed and tortured. They will never pay enough.

War...

- this Embrace of the Butcher –

...Comes Again

(and again…and again)

 Global Rights - Human Rights

  La guerra
questo abbraccio del macellaio –
ritorna (e ancora… e ancora)
Diritti Globali [Italian]

1

Seems now Death

has come to squat

squinty-eyed and sadly-obese

straight from the tanning tables

of Teheran or Tabriz

and from the grim Graveyards

of Gaza

come to sit and squat

outside

our bedroom door.

2

At night the wolves of madness

howl in its never-ending mind,

its mutilated-mindless mind

not nurtured but fattening on war,

on worry, on the weariness of fools

and gangsters

who boast that the Reich, the Rich

and their riots of rotten indulgence

will last forever.

Not so. [Contd.]

Most of the inserted Quotesin italics: are taken from interviews with the Palestinian writer Susan Abulhawa:

“… we are supposed to, as Palestinians, we're supposed to accept this barbaric violence. We're supposed to accept people like Tom Friedman publishing in the New York Times essays that call us actually… by insects, as spiders or wasps. I can't remember exactly the words he used. We are supposed to accept this endless bloodshed of our children, this endless theft and…take it quietly. And when we speak, we have to speak respectfully.” [15:38 - 15:56]

Zohran Throws Palestinians Under The Bus After Zionist Hitjob (w/ Susan Abulhawa)

Interview on Bad Faith -March 19, 2026

Susan Abulhawa: “… I always thought that there could be a way that there could be reconciliation, that we could share the land. But I no longer feel that way because I think this is one of the most sick pathological societies in the world. And I know that sounds harsh for people to hear and maybe they will judge me for saying it, but this is a truth that I know…”

“… people have an internal moral compass that…is provoked by visual evidence of horror. That does not appear to be present in Israeli society at large. They have looked at the mangled bodies of our children, at starving children, and they wanted more and they thought it was funny and they put it to music and they danced to it. And then and then you see the statistics. You read the statistics. 90% of Jewish Israelis want to annihilate Gaza. 73% of American Jews are on board. Like I actually was surprised by that to be honest. Yeah. And you thought…it wouldn't be that quite that high. I really didn't.”

“ I will never forgive that. I'm never going to forgive it. I will never forget it.

But despite that, and this is what I said in my response, you know, I still make, I still try to make the distinction. But even if I didn't, even if no Palestinians made the distinction between Jews and Zionists, nobody could fault us, not with these statistics, not with what's happening, frankly. And that's and I stand by that. It's so okay. This is what's so provocative.”

Finally: Hope for the future?

Susan Abulhawa: (“She went into Gaza not once but twice in 2024, in the middle of a fucking genocide, to bring supplies in and run writing workshops to teach a cohort of Palestinians how to tell their stories of survival.” Hate5six)

“I wish you well, Mr. Mandani. If you or Rama are readers of novels, especially historic fiction, I would love to send you a stack of my books

because literature, art, music, these are the most profound landscapes where humans can meet each other across geographic, generational, linguistic, racial, and cultural borders. And let me close this sincere message with the hope of glory to our martyrs and victory to every nation, every individual anywhere today fighting against the tyranny of the Epstein class.” [19:13 - 19:45]

Hate5six - 14 March, 2026

And from her: Oxford Union FULL [i.e. uncensored) Speech on 28 November 2024

“…it is not because you are Jewish as you want everyone to believe, but because you are violent colonizers who think that your Jewishness …your Jewishness entitles you to the home my grandfather and his brothers built with their own hands on land that had been in our family for centuries. It is because Zionism is a blight onto Judaism. It is a break in humanity.

“You will not erase us no matter how many of us you kill and kill and kill all day every day. We are not the rocks that…wise men thought you could clear from the land. We are its very soil. We are her rivers and her trees and her stories. Because all of that was nurtured by our bodies and our lives over millennia of continuous uninterrupted habitation of that patch of earth between the Jordan and Mediterranean waters… from our Canaanite, our Hebrew, our Philistine, our Phoenician ancestors to every conqueror or pilgrim who came and went, who married or raped or loved or settled or enslaved or converted between religions or prayed in that land, leaving pieces of themselves in our bodies and our heritage. The fabled, tumultuous stories of the land are quite literally in our DNA.

“You cannot kill or propagandize that away. No matter what death technology you use or what Hollywood or corporate media arsenals you deploy, someday your impunity and your arrogance will end. Palestine will be free. She will be restored to her multi-religious, multiethnic, pluralistic glory…

“We will put an end to this Zionist American war machine of domination, expansion, extraction, pollution, and looting. And you will either leave or you will finally learn to live with others as equals. Thank you.”

 Like a Flower sifted

through Agony

I nDíl Chuimhne
Naama Alaa Al-Din Hammad and her six children, both born and unborn, murdered by the Israeli “Defence” Forces, December 6, 2023

Like a flower sifted through agony

one lone man sits and searches

for his lost hope

Abu Ismail Hammad.

This man, he moves mountains

as if their murderous “war” was

no more and no less the mirage of

a madman without a strait jacket

and for all the graveyards-of-rubble

he will move, here,

in the Sabra neighborhood, Gaza City,

Palestine

it still seems we are going nowhere. (Contd.)

 Abu Ismail Hammad

“GAZA CITY—For 200 days, Abu Ismail Hammad has been digging beneath his home in Gaza City, painstakingly collecting the remains of his wife and unborn child. He has been using a flour sifter to find their bone fragments hidden in the sand.

His entire family was killed just under two months into Israel’s genocidal assault, when an airstrike hit their home in the Sabra neighborhood on December 6, 2023. His five children—Ismail, Mohammed, Ghaith, Jana, and Joudi—aged between eight to 16 years old, were all killed, along with his wife, Naama Alaa Al-Din Hammad. Naama was nine months pregnant with their sixth child, a girl they were planning to name Haifa, after her martyred aunt. His brother, sister-in-law and all of their children were also killed.”

 To the Enemies of Humankind

…and for the Kurdish people in Rojava, Occupied Kurdistan

.../for the Palestinian people in Occupied Palestine

and for those resisting, under paramilitary siege, in the Occupied Cities of the U.S.

“Our choice is clear; victory or victory.”

YPJ Commander Raya Mihemed (Hasakah, Rojava):

 1

Me? i’ve fought this radio to a homicidal truce

where it hides beneath its bunker of books,

the ones i’ve torn pages from,

instead of letting them argue their lies to

my illiterate children, down all these years

living as a slave.

i’ve fought the ghosts of enemies

i misunderstood in their sentry posts

on the walls of Immorality

and so they bombed my shelters,

slaughtered my dreams,

imprisoned every single one of my

demands in dungeons and despair

and all my wretched howling was

to no avail.

Now i am an old man in the midst

of endless war.

My stomach hurts,

my bones ache, my eyes

bleed daily

with the countless casualties

inflicted on us

for believing in a better world.

And still it rains here,

constantly.

2

All this water must soon

swiftly flee

to find its way from

the river to the sea

and bring with it both

the bodies of the dead,

slaughtered for spite and

the butchers’ greed

as well as these lies that tell me

“thank you for your attention”

…as if this will always be the way

things are…

Fuck all that.

3

i am, an old man with a grudge.

i am an old man with a grudge i

am proud of.

i’ve slept in doorways

cursing the rain.

i’ve bitten the hand that

refused to feed me.

By now, my enemies should

have all died before me

just so i could dance

on their graves,

this pathetic dance of the

drunkard i longed to be

and even failed, too frequently

at that task.

4

But now i look all around me

and all i see are these humanless humanoids,

these brainless brutes with their bankroll

as big as their toothless mouths

with their vicious brains and their fucking bombs

their militias, presidents, spies,

their assassins, warships, artillery and airbases

and always, always, their greedy twisted tongues

telling me to bow and scrape and serve

to this servile religion of slavery and servitude

and i know today for sure

what i was told as a child

Oh, let this “sleeping beast” sleep

for if it wakes it will shake

the whole wide world”.

5

And so i surely know

this “sleeping beast”

must be the human heart,

this one right here being

torn in two

and no motherfucking shiteating

murdering fascist

in all the thieves’ dens

in all the bars and brothels of a world

already sold to these bankers

and billionaires

will

stop

it…

not all the “sick beings” in

their broken world

can stop our insurgent and

uprising war.

6

So, please, go search,

go out and search

for Her,

i tell you now

this heart,

this human heart,

insubordinate,

seditious,

subversive

insurrected!

“I am following with anger and anxiety the military attacks on the multi-ethnic and democratic self-administration of the Rojava Revolution. Since 2012, the name Rojava has mobilized people in and beyond the region, opening up new horizons for a revolutionary politics of liberation. To stand up and defend Rojava is a duty for anybody committed to freedom and equality. In an age of war and genocide, struggling for Rojava means struggling for a different world, built upon the ecological, feminist, and democratic principles that the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria has turned into a lived reality over the last years.
